Werner Paddles distributed by Point 65

Werner Paddle's Premium Touring line is constructed with high quality continuous weave fiberglass for the right combination of light weight, durability, and superior paddle performance. Each model is available in 3 beautiful translucent colors, Amber, Orange, or Pearl. Other standard features include: Light swing weight, Adjustable Ferrule System, Neutral Bent Shaft-Glass or Straight shaft in either Standard or Small diameter shaft choices.

Standard and small diameter shaft
Shaft size, or correctly stated, shaft diameter, not only matters but is very important in choosing a good fitting paddle. Hands come in different sizes and a shaft size that is properly fit allows a paddler to maintain a light grip, thus dramatically reducing fatigue while increasing comfort and control.

Shafts - Neutral Bent Shafts
Newer to the Werner paddle line up is the Neutral Bent Shaft and Neutral Bent Shaft Small diameter. This unique and popular shaft is also manufactured in-house combining a proprietary new process with a blend of high quality carbon fiber or fiberglass and epoxy resin.
Werner's new process optimizes weight and strength for the varying demands of whitewater and touring. Living up to their "bomber" reputation our Neutral Bent Shaft is the strongest bent shaft for it's weight anywhere.

High and low angle
In sea kayak touring there are two common, yet very different, paddling styles, Low Angle and High Angle. These styles correlate to the angle of the shaft in relation to the surface of the water. Low Angle is the most common paddling style. It is a more relaxed touring style and relaxed cadence. The Low Angle designs have longer and narrower blades designed to pull through each stroke with the right amount of surface area for good power while maintaining a smooth forward stroke. High Angle paddling is typically a more aggressive style of paddling with a faster cadence and a larger variety of strokes being used on each paddle outing. The high angle designs have short wide blades for a powerful catch and stroke with a slight dihedral for smooth linking strokes. High Angle designs work best when used with shorter paddle lengths of 215cm - 225cm. The combination of shorter paddle length and a shorter wide blade allows the right amount of balanced blade area to enter the water sooner, supporting a faster cadence, without having to over extend the upper arm.

Camano
The Camano is Werner's most popular Low Angle blade design. The mid size blades offers the perfect combination for paddlers who want power yet use a relaxed all around touring stroke. The Camano also offers the best balance of light swing weight and smooth forward strokes.

Little Dipper
The Little Dipper is Werner's smallest Low Angle touring design. The smaller blades pull easily through a stroke putting less strain on joints making it the popular choice of smaller paddlers. Youth and smaller women love the fit of our Little Dipper combined with the Small shaft option.

Corryvrecken
The Corryvrecken offers full size blades ideal for well conditioned High Angle paddlers who want powerful strokes and enhanced blade maneuverability when linking several strokes.

Shuna
The Shuna’s versatility and mid size High Angle blades are the popular choice for both aggressive High Angle paddlers as well as paddlers with a more relaxed High Angle touring style.
